Route designed by local operators
What this journey is really like
An overland journey to Dawar and Tulail with local stays, border-area paperwork support and honest drive times. This is a planning framework, not a rigid bus-tour schedule. The day order can move when weather, road controls, flight times or accommodation availability make another sequence safer and more enjoyable.
- Gurez and Tulail landscapes
- Border-area document guidance
- Local guesthouse selection
- Experienced mountain driver
- Weather-buffer advice
- Private route—no forced group departures

The line shows the planning sequence, not a turn-by-turn navigation map. Final road choice follows official opening, checkpoint and local transport rules.
Detailed day-by-day itinerary
Start times remain flexible until travel dates and hotel locations are confirmed. We deliberately state long days and local-vehicle handovers instead of hiding them in the fine print.
Day 1: Arrive in Srinagar
Airport pickup and a light Srinagar day to prepare documents, cash and luggage for the remote-valley journey.
Day 2: Srinagar to Dawar across Razdan Pass
Early drive via Bandipora and Razdan Pass, with security and weather stops as required. Reach Dawar by evening and settle into a local hotel or guesthouse.
Day 3: Dawar and Habba Khatoon landscape
Explore the Kishanganga riverfront, village lanes, Habba Khatoon viewpoint and local cultural setting without treating the border valley as a checklist.
Day 4: Tulail excursion and return toward Srinagar
Travel deeper toward Tulail as far as current permissions and road conditions allow, then begin the return journey. A second Gurez night is recommended if you prefer less driving.
Day 5: Srinagar departure
Airport transfer or an optional extra city night if the previous day’s road is affected by weather.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Gurez Valley Offbeat · 5 Days itinerary be customised?
Yes. Nights, route, hotel category, meal plan and pickup point can be changed. We confirm whether a requested change is sensible for the season and driving time before quoting.
Are flights and activity tickets included?
Flights are not included. Gondola, pony, skiing, monument and other activity tickets are included only when the final written quote names them.
What happens if a road or pass closes?
Mountain routes can change with weather, maintenance or security orders. We first adjust the sequence or use a safe alternative; any material cost change is discussed before it is incurred.
Is this a fixed-departure group tour?
No. The standard version is a private trip for your party with a dedicated vehicle. Group departures are offered only when clearly stated.
How is the final price calculated?
The final price reflects travel dates, hotel category, number and age of travelers, vehicle type, meal plan, permits and separately regulated local services.
