Detailed day-by-day itinerary
Start times remain flexible until travel dates and hotel locations are confirmed. We deliberately state long days and local-vehicle handovers instead of hiding them in the fine print.
Day 1: Arrival and heated houseboat stay
Airport pickup and a short winter city orientation. Check into a heating-confirmed houseboat or hotel, followed by a Shikara ride only if lake conditions and comfort allow.
Day 2: Srinagar to Gulmarg
Drive to Tangmarg and change to an approved snow-capable vehicle if ordered by the authorities. Check into a properly heated Gulmarg hotel and keep the first afternoon relaxed.
Day 3: Gondola and snow day
Use a pre-booked Gondola slot if operating. Add skiing, sledging or a beginner lesson with independent certified operators; weather can close upper sections at short notice.
Day 4: Return to Srinagar
Travel back after breakfast. Visit open Mughal gardens, a craft workshop or the old-city area depending on weather and road conditions.
Day 5: Flexible snow excursion
Use the day for an open Sonamarg approach, Doodhpathri, another Gulmarg sector or Srinagar experiences based on the official road status. The final choice is confirmed locally.
Day 6: Departure
Airport transfer with an extended winter buffer for fog, frost and traffic controls.

Yes. Nights, route, hotel category, meal plan and pickup point can be changed. We confirm whether a requested change is sensible for the season and driving time before quoting.
Are flights and activity tickets included?
Flights are not included. Gondola, pony, skiing, monument and other activity tickets are included only when the final written quote names them.
What happens if a road or pass closes?
Mountain routes can change with weather, maintenance or security orders. We first adjust the sequence or use a safe alternative; any material cost change is discussed before it is incurred.
Is this a fixed-departure group tour?
No. The standard version is a private trip for your party with a dedicated vehicle. Group departures are offered only when clearly stated.
How is the final price calculated?
The final price reflects travel dates, hotel category, number and age of travelers, vehicle type, meal plan, permits and separately regulated local services.
