Route designed by local operators
What this journey is really like
The classic Leh–Nubra–Pangong circuit with two acclimatization nights before crossing a high pass. This is a planning framework, not a rigid bus-tour schedule. The day order can move when weather, road controls, flight times or accommodation availability make another sequence safer and more enjoyable.
- Two acclimatization nights before Nubra
- Permits and fee support
- Nubra and Pangong without unsafe rushing
- Experienced Ladakh vehicle and driver
- Oxygen-support planning on request
- Hotel, guesthouse and camp options

The line shows the planning sequence, not a turn-by-turn navigation map. Final road choice follows official opening, checkpoint and local transport rules.
Detailed day-by-day itinerary
Start times remain flexible until travel dates and hotel locations are confirmed. We deliberately state long days and local-vehicle handovers instead of hiding them in the fine print.
Day 1: Arrive in Leh · complete rest
Airport pickup and direct hotel transfer. Hydrate, eat lightly and rest. No pass, lake or strenuous sightseeing is scheduled.
Day 2: Leh acclimatization and nearby sights
A gentle local day after assessing how everyone feels. Short visits may include Shanti Stupa, Leh Market or a nearby monastery; stop immediately if symptoms develop.
Day 3: Leh to Nubra via Khardung La
Cross toward Nubra with short, weather-aware pass stops. Visit Diskit and reach Hunder or Sumur in time to rest.
Day 4: Nubra exploration
Choose Hunder dunes, Diskit Monastery, Sumur, Panamik or a Turtuk extension based on your interests and permit status.
Day 5: Nubra to Pangong via Shyok
Take the direct Shyok route only when officially open and appropriate. Reach the Pangong area, limit exertion and prepare for a cold night.
Day 6: Pangong to Leh via Chang La
Return through Chang La with stops at Thiksey or Shey if timing and energy permit.
Day 7: Departure from Leh
Early airport transfer. Keep your boarding pass and identification accessible for airport checks.

Frequently asked questions
Can the Magical Ladakh · 7 Days itinerary be customised?
Yes. Nights, route, hotel category, meal plan and pickup point can be changed. We confirm whether a requested change is sensible for the season and driving time before quoting.
Are flights and activity tickets included?
Flights are not included. Gondola, pony, skiing, monument and other activity tickets are included only when the final written quote names them.
What happens if a road or pass closes?
Mountain routes can change with weather, maintenance or security orders. We first adjust the sequence or use a safe alternative; any material cost change is discussed before it is incurred.
Is this a fixed-departure group tour?
No. The standard version is a private trip for your party with a dedicated vehicle. Group departures are offered only when clearly stated.
How is the final price calculated?
The final price reflects travel dates, hotel category, number and age of travelers, vehicle type, meal plan, permits and separately regulated local services.
